Delaware Valley University’s men’s soccer team achieved new milestones this season, leading to recognition from the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) for both its coaching staff and players.

Head coach Shaq Stephenson, who has been with the Aggies for three seasons, has overseen a period of growth for the program. In his first year, the team recorded three wins and four ties—the highest number of ties in program history. The following season, DelVal finished with a 9-8-1 record, marking only the second time in program history that the team finished above .500 and the first since 1998. This year, under Stephenson’s guidance, the Aggies posted a 10-5-3 record, setting a new program best.

Stephenson and assistant coach Sean Touey were named MAC Freedom Coaching Staff of the Year. Three players also received All-Conference honors for their performances during the season. Gianluca D’Alterio ’28 and Roy Hevener ’28 earned Second Team All-MAC Freedom honors. Nick Becker ’28 was named an All-MAC Honorable Mention after being recognized as MAC Defensive Player of the Week three times this season.

“I am humbled to be recognized by my peers for Staff of the Year,” said Stephenson. “I’m grateful to Delaware Valley University, my colleagues in the athletic department, my assistant coaches – Sean, Siafa and Josh – and, most importantly, the players and parents of the DVU Men’s Soccer Program. Thank you for your commitment and support.”
