Delaware Valley University announced on April 7 that the third session of its Medical Sales Leadership Certificate program, in partnership with Gritty, will begin on April 12. The program is designed to equip students with practical skills and direct industry exposure needed for careers in medical sales.

The certificate aims to bridge the gap between academic study and real-world application by providing hands-on training and mentorship from professionals in the field. This approach addresses a growing demand for well-prepared candidates in the competitive medical sales industry.

Gabby Schuster, a current Delaware Valley University MBA student and one of the first enrollees, said, “I’ve always been drawn to high-performance, goal-oriented environments where discipline and consistency matter. That mindset naturally led me to medical sales, where results, resilience and accountability are key. With my background in business and my interest in healthcare, I saw this certificate as an opportunity to intentionally prepare myself for a competitive field and build both the knowledge and confidence to succeed.”

The program features mock interview competitions and role play exercises that allow students to practice essential skills under real-world conditions. Schuster said, “One of the most valuable parts was the opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals who were brought in to share their experience. This program has helped bridge the gap between education and actually breaking into the industry. It is practical, relevant and has made me feel much more prepared.”

Graduates are positioned for roles within medical sales thanks to increased confidence, experience, and insight gained through these activities. Schuster added: “I also really valued how DelVal offered this opportunity since many schools do not provide resources specifically focused on helping students break into a career. Seeing DelVal take that extra step made me appreciate the school even more.”
