Delaware Valley University announced on April 13 that its One Health program will host a panel discussion titled “Local Climate Action Planning in Doylestown Borough” on Wednesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. The event will take place in the Life Sciences Building Auditorium.

The panel aims to discuss the collaborative planning process behind Doylestown Borough’s comprehensive plan and the Doylestown Borough Climate Action Plan (DCAP). Moderated by Doylestown Borough Councilman Dennis Livrone, the panel includes James Lannon, chair of the Doylestown Borough Planning Commission; Grant Alger, chair of the Environmental Advisory Council; Karyn Hyland, director of planning and zoning; Grant Rowe, sustainability coordinator; and Michael Roedig, executive director of the Bucks County Planning Commission.

Panelists are expected to highlight how these plans work together and explain how borough staff are implementing DCAP’s recommendations. The discussion is intended to provide insight into practical steps other communities can use when developing their own climate action plans.

The university said this event is free and open to all members of the local community who are interested in local planning, sustainability, and climate action. More information about the event can be found at delval.edu/onehealth.

A recording of the seminar will be made available after the event at delval.edu/onehealth.
