Grants awarded to fire and EMS companies in Bucks County

Rep. Shelby Labs has announced that several fire and EMS companies serving the 143rd District have been awarded grants from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC). The funding is intended to assist these organizations in upgrading equipment, renovating facilities, and improving training programs.

“This funding from OSFC will help our first responders upgrade equipment, renovate their facilities and improve their trainings,” said Labs. “Our first responders selflessly serve our community, and this funding will assist them as they continue to provide critical services.”

All eligible companies that apply and meet OSFC requirements receive funding. To obtain their grants, companies must file a grant agreement with OFSC. The recipients include:

– Central Bucks Ambulance and Rescue Unit – $15,000
– Chalfont EMS – $15,000
– Chalfont Chemical Fire Engine Co. No. 1 – $16,322
– Delaware Valley Volunteer Fire Co. – $14,385
– Doylestown Fire Co. No. 1 – $16,106
– Dublin Volunteer Fire Co. – $14,170
– Grand View Hospital EMS – $10,000
– Hilltown Township Volunteer Fire Co. – $16,322
– Perkasie Fire Co. No. 1 – $15,891
– Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Co. – $15,000
– Point Pleasant Fire Co. No. 1 – $13,309
– Point Pleasant-Plumsteadville EMS – $15,000
– Sellersville Fire Department – $15,000
– Silverdale Volunteer Fire Co. – $15,891
– Upper Bucks Regional EMS – $13,403

The grants can be used for various projects such as construction or renovation of facilities for fire or ambulance companies, purchasing or repairing equipment, training initiatives or reducing existing debt.
