Hearing addresses Pennsylvania’s child care challenges

House Republican Policy Committee Vice Chairman Kristin Marcell (R-Bucks), along with Rep. Shelby Labs (R-Bucks) and Rep. Joe Hogan (R-Bucks), will host a hearing titled “Child Care Challenges and Solutions.” The discussion aims to address the modernization of regulations and staff eligibility requirements to help child care businesses prosper and provide working parents with access to reliable, affordable child care.

Testifiers at the hearing will include Aaron Riggleman, manager of government affairs for the PA Chamber of Business and Industry; Marissa Christie, president and CEO of United Way Bucks; Tami Unger, branch director at River Crossing YMCA; Bernadette Rodrigo, director at Children’s Village; and Tiffany Martin, director at Teddy Bear College.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, July 29, at 11 a.m., taking place at Upper Bucks Technical School. It is expected to be streamed online barring any technical difficulties.
