Rep. Shelby Labs and Sen. Jarrett Coleman have announced a $50,000 grant awarded to the Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company for renovations to their firehouse. This funding aims to update the infrastructure and improve housing for first responders.

“I was proud to secure this funding in partnership with Sen. Coleman to help facilitate these renovations,” stated Labs. “These improvements will aid our first responders as they continue to serve and provide safety to our community.”

Sen. Coleman added, “Helping the Silverdale Fire Department cover the cost of these renovations will bring essential services closer to the community. Cutting down on response time can make all the difference in emergencies and this is a great opportunity to help our constituents when they need it most.”

The Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company expressed gratitude for the support: “The men and women of the Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Rep. Labs, Sen. Coleman, and their teams. Recently, with tremendous help and effort from Rep. Labs and Sen. Coleman, the Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company was able to secure a significant state grant that will afford us the opportunity to make vital physical improvements to our building.
