Doylestown Health issued the following announcement on Oct 25.
Doylestown Health deeply appreciates the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce for honoring the teachers of Children’s Village.
The teachers were models of excellence under pressure as they protected and then evacuated the children in their care during the EF2 tornado that struck the Doylestown Hospital campus on Aug. 4 and destroyed the daycare center.
Chamber President Dr. Vail Garvin presented the Wawa Everyday Hero Award to Children’s Village staff as part of the Chamber’s annual (and this year, virtual) Emergency Medical Services & Fire Service Awards event. Jim Brexler, President and CEO, accepted the award on behalf of the teachers who gathered outside the daycare center for the virtual presentation with local EMS providers Doylestown Fire Co. and Central Bucks Ambulance, who also came to the rescue.//https://okt.to/XSaPGr
