PART-TIME PARKING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

Doylestown Borough is seeking applicants for a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer. Starting wage is $18.14/hour. Hours are Thursday through Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Will also fill in as needed for absences of other Parking Enforcement Officers.

Position Summary:

Responsible for patrolling an assigned area enforcing ordinances and regulations governing the parking of motor vehicles.

Work is performed under the supervision of a Parking Enforcement Supervisor. Assignments are limited in nature and are carried out according to detailed instructions. Work affects the enforcement of parking regulations in an assigned area.

Essential Functions:

* Issues Parking Tickets daily.

* Chalking of tires in designated time-limit zones.

* Make court appearances to give testimony pertaining to issuance of tickets.

* Assist in office as needed.

Other Functions:

* Perform duties of a Crossing Guard.

Qualifications:

* Thorough knowledge of Borough parking ordinances.

* Ability to work outside in all types of weather.

* Ability to deal firmly, tactfully and courteously with the public.

* Ability to read and write English and to print legibly and copy license plate numbers accurately onto parking tickets.

* Ability to walk for extended periods of time.

* High School Diploma or GED.

* Valid Pennsylvania drivers license.
