The House Republican Policy Committee, led by Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington) and Rep. Shelby Labs (R-Bucks), will convene a hearing titled “Protecting Victims: Solutions to Combat Stalking.” The session aims to enhance awareness of various forms of stalking and identify legal gaps that impede law enforcement's ability to intervene effectively.

Chairman Kail, Rep. Labs, and other committee members will be joined by several testifiers, including Nicholas Virnelson, interim chief of the Bedminster Township Police Department; Jennifer Schorn, district attorney for Bucks County; Matthew Phelan, retired police chief of the Bedminster Township Police Department; Laurie Hepler, civilian community relations specialist and victim advocate at the Bedminster Township Police Department; and Gayle Marinelli, a local resident from Bucks County.

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 4, at 1 p.m. It will take place at Upper Bucks Technical School located at 3115 Ridge Road in Perkasie, PA 18944. Barring any technical difficulties, the event will be streamed online.
