Senator Steve Santarsiero and Representative Shelby Labs have announced a state funding allocation of $209,352 for the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company. The funds, provided to the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority, are designated for purchasing three new pick-up vehicles. These vehicles will replace the current aging fleet and are expected to enhance high water rescue capabilities, carry more lifesaving gear, and improve fuel economy.

"Our volunteer firefighters put themselves on the front lines every day to keep our community safe," stated Senator Santarsiero. "The new equipment will improve reliability and better enable these heroic volunteers to provide critical assistance in times of crisis."

Representative Labs emphasized the importance of supporting first responders: "It is crucial that we continue to support funding for our first responders as they step up every day to serve our community. This funding will allow the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company to acquire the equipment necessary to meet the needs of our community and continue to provide these vital services."

The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development administers this funding through its Local Share Account (LSA) - Statewide program. The program allocates gaming revenue via the Commonwealth Financing Authority for projects aimed at improving citizens' quality of life within the Commonwealth.
