State Rep. Shelby Labs | Pennsylvania 143rd Legislative District
On May 14, 2024, Rep. Shelby Labs (R-Bucks) announced that the Pennridge Community Center in Silverdale has been awarded a $2,551 grant. The Pennsylvania Department of Aging, through its Senior Community Center (SCC) grants, is responsible for this funding.
Rep. Labs spoke highly of the center and its impact on the community, stating, “The Pennridge Community Center has always been a fantastic place of community for seniors across my district.” She expressed confidence that the funds would be well-utilized to enhance programs for seniors who frequent the Pennridge Community Center for their activities and social events.
The grant is part of a larger $1 million allocation aimed at SCCs to help fund smaller needs and improvements to programs for beneficiaries. The General Assembly appropriates the funding for these grants through proceeds from the Pennsylvania Lottery.
